The lyrics were inspired by a trip to Europe I took when I was in college. The reason why I wanted David Pavkovic to play drums in my band is on full display in this song. Griffin came up with an awesome "ducking" effect on the hi-hat while we were mixing. Fun bubbly sound came from blowing a straw into a bowl of water. Although it sounds like a bong. Ha!

I took a ferry to a taxi and I took a plane that flew across the waters and I landed in the sea. My emotions nearly drowned me there in a fiendish rain of lust and rage and fear.
It seems as if I'm hammering away at the glass. And it's stupid to think that I could ever make a dent. The message came though electronic mail. In a flash my love turned into zeroes and ones. I rested my head on the terminal. Can you save me from this life of traveling affairs?
